Welcome to Southern Cross Flyball Club!
We're a small, family-friendly club in Western Sydney's Fairfield district, united by our love of dogs. We believe in enriching our dogs' lives by giving them a job to do and there is no better, or more exciting job than flyball! Though we train at Fairfield Showground in Prairiewood, our club competes in Australian Flyball Association (AFA) competitions all over NSW and interstate, including at the annual Flyball Nationals Championships. |
Training with SX
If you're looking for a fun, new way to bond with your best mate you've come to the right place. We welcome dogs of all sizes, shapes and speeds to come and play flyball with us, from puppies beginning age-appropriate foundation work, to senior racing dogs and everything in between. We understand that different dogs learn in different ways, so we use a range of reward based training and socialisation methods. Our instructors will work one-on-one with you and your dog to tailor a training program that will cater to your dog's needs.
We train on Thursday nights from 7:00pm at Fairfield Showground in Prairiewood.

Upcoming SX Events
If you want to more about flyball, coming along to a demonstration, exhibition or race meeting is the best way to see the sport in the fur! Southern Cross participates in a number of events throughout the year, and hosts several of our throughout the year.

Blacktown City Canine Centre
Southern Cross will be running a Starwars themed competition on Saturday 4th May, 2024 at Blacktown City Canine Centre. This is the first time we have run this competition and are excited to host clubs from around NSW and the ACT.

The SX ALL STARS
Southern Cross caters to all life stages, from puppyhood, to geriatrics. Our dogs are the heart of our club and so from the moment they come home, all the way through their foundation training, racing careers and into retirement (where our Racing All Stars get promoted to the role of "Gazebo Security" at competitions), they are included in club activities.
